Bruins give D Stuart multiyear extension (AP)
The Boston Bruins signed defenseman Mark Stuart, who played every game for the team last season, to a multiyear extension Tuesday. Stuart, the Bruins' first-round draft pick in 2003, had career highs of 82 games, four goals, four assists and eight points. He also played in the team's seven postseason games against Montreal.

A man accused of killing Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams in a drive-by shooting is scheduled to enter a plea on Oct. 30. Willie D.
